Brief Description

The system takes iris samples for matching. Binarisation is performed on eye image and after this image is converted to gray scale. Then weighted average filtering is performed. Then iris is extracted along with pupil from the eye image using global thresholding principle. Then pupil is extracted using same algorithm. And then iris sample is matched with other images from the database using DCOS similarity method and then result is displayed wether perfect match is
found or not.

Ultrasonic Proximity Detector:- This detector is able to detect any obstacle coming in its way with in the range of 1.5 meter. The detector consists of ultrasonic Sensors which are capable of generating a signal at 40khz.

Title : FLOW ANALYSIS IN AIRFOIL USING THE COMPUTING PROGRAM(C CODING)
Description: For meshing purposes conformal mapping is used, for the computing purposes Cramer’s rule is used with error function then using some recursive functions exact results are obtained. First the airfoil profile is made as a rectangular shape using the conformal mapping. Then points (to be analyzed) are chosen as the meeting points of straight lines which are parallel to x, y axes. From the temperatures on these points, set of n equations with n unknowns are formed, then using the Cramer’s rule the unknown variables are found. Then the end result i9s compared with the boundary conditions, using the error function. If it’s not exact then again the points are changed, this process continues till the error function shows nearly zero.

Title : NEURAL SYSTEM IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Place : MIT, Anna University.
Description : In many of the computing systems signals are sent as voltage fluctuations, so the maximum speed of the signal is the speed of the current in that medium .But in artificial systems this speed is not enough, so in this method signal are sent as the fluctuations in the light beam, so the speed of the signal will be too high. So first the signals are converted into light pulses. Then in the receiving medium the light pulses will be again converted into signals. Using the photo cells, this can be achieved very easily, but is too costly, so in this method chemical components which are very sensitive to the light rays, are used ( ex. Benzene , its too sensitive to UV rays )
SEMINARS PRESENTED
Title : SCRAMJET WITH TWO MODE OPERATION
Description: Generally scramjets face difficulties due to the high rate of inlet air . So flame can’t be held in this situation. Three solutions can be provided to this problem. (1) inserting a blunt body in the path of the air-fuel mixer. Due to collision between the air particles and the blunt body, the flame will be created. (2) Lowering the energy level of fuel (for oxidization process), the time for the burning process will be lowered. So flame will start instantly .for this some amount of nitrogen components are used. Due to their ionized property and the carbon chains duel ionization property, the fuel will be partly ionized, so when they get contact with oxygen, they will form the product immediately. So flame holding is unnecessary in this case. (Actually we proposed this as a project but professors rejected it)(3) When ozone is combined with platinum it will create too much of heat (in this process platinum will red heated by the process). So atmosphere air always contains ozone, or we can make the ozone from oxygen by flashing UV rays in that. When this ozone mixed with the fuel air mixer, and if we etch the platinum in the combustion chamber walls, then when the air is passed the wall will be heated, so the flame holder is not a necessary in this one, because the wall itself is holding the flame.
